What Is Baywatch Berlin? Our Podcast, Our Hosts and the Sign-Off

Some podcasts have a plan. Baywatch Berlin has three friends from German TV, a microphone each and whatever happened that week. Here's a quick guide to the show behind our merch, for new listeners and longtime ones.

What is Baywatch Berlin?

Baywatch Berlin is our German-language comedy podcast, with entertainer Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, TV producer Jakob Lundt and creative producer Thomas Schmitt. It's produced by Studio Bummens and available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and YouTube.

When did it start?

Our first episode came out on November 22, 2019.

What do we talk about?

There's no fixed format. We talk about our everyday lives, with work coming up more often than home life. All three of us worked on shows such as Duell um die Welt, Joko & Klaas gegen ProSieben, Circus HalliGalli and Late Night Berlin, so there are plenty of behind-the-scenes stories. Recurring segments come and go, from Thomas' Technikecke (Thomas' tech corner) to Haushaltstipp von Jakob (Jakob's household tip).

How does every episode end?

With Alles Liebe, alles Gute. Danke, Ende. That's German for "All the love, all the best. Thanks, the end." It's on one of our designs.
